THE ROLE:
As a Data Scientist in Prosimo, you will be responsible for exploratory data analysis and creating insights from the data. Being in an agile team, you will also influence any additional metric and other engineering changes needed to improve model creation and accuracy. You will be working closely with SMEs in networking and cloud, to create novel solutions and extend Prosimo’s Machine Learning capabilities – CIRRUS. You be responsible for building models and lead the development and deployment into the Prosimo solution [AXI] and evaluate it in real customer deployments. In this role, we expect our Data Scientist to be obsessed with data and providing insights to help our end customers.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build a highly scalable distributed system that can process billions of metrics per second, build intelligent complex event processing and ML-based decision systems to automate security, capacity, and root cause operational issues
- Prior experience with time-series data is preferable
- Design systems that manage lifecycle and processing of large streaming data sets, evaluate and create new ML models
- Develop online algorithms that can auto-learn models best suited to the application, keeping cost and interpretability in mind
- Deploy the algorithms and models in GCP or cloud platforms
- Develop retraining and online model performance monitoring strategies
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, and Python
- Familiarity with either one of AWS, Azure and GCP platforms
- Advanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis
- Experience with common data science toolkits and ML techniques
- Working knowledge of statistics
- Exceptional technical writing skills
- Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
- Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with data management tools
- Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
- Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality, and ability to execute
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- An aptitude for understanding problems related to cloud adoption, operation, analytics, and network connectivity orchestration will be a huge plus
- Bachelor’s or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3-5+ years of practical Data Science experience
